New Light Christian Center Church

New Light Christian Center Church is a non-denominational church in Houston, Texas. Apostle I.V. Hilliard founded it on September 2, 1984, starting with about 300 people, and built it into one of the most recognized churches in the city. In 2007 it was named one of the 50 most influential churches in America. Leadership passed to the next generation in 2018, when Dr. Irishea Hilliard became senior pastor after a decade serving as her father's chief operating officer. She now leads one of the more prominent woman-led megachurches in the country.

New Light reaches 113,092 combined followers across three active platforms. Facebook dominates the mix at 88,157 followers, roughly four times the rest combined. Instagram adds 13,035 followers on the newlightcc handle, and the @NLCCCTV YouTube channel counts 11,900 subscribers. YouTube is the fastest mover, up 15.53 percent over the past year, with content published as recently as June 9. No TikTok presence holds breadth at 82.5.
