Mariners Church in Irvine, California began in 1963 as home Bible studies in the Newport Beach area, taking its name from Mariners Elementary School, one of its early meeting spots. Eric Geiger, a former senior vice president at LifeWay Christian Resources and co-author of the bestselling book Simple Church, serves as senior pastor.
